GROWTH is honored to participate in a unique class we call "Horses and Healing." This monthly class will open up the world of horses to the girls of GROWTH. We are so grateful to Renate Andrasevits Reed and Windwalker Healing for the opportunity to work with these special creatures.
Peering over their stalls, Penny, Medicine Hat, and The Skinny Guy were very curious indeed when two carloads of giggly girls from Hollywood pulled up to their quiet stable in Palos Verdes.
They watched us with a curious eye as Renate showed us around the barn, pointing out the various types of hay, and talking about the pros and cons of pellets and horses' digestion.
Our new friends were patient with us as we learned how to clean out their shoes and brush their beautiful tails. Renate taught us a bit about their anatomy and about their personalities. They are incredible animals for so many reasons.
We look forward to future classes where we will continue to learn about grooming, feeding and general horse care. And who knows! If all goes well, we might one day learn to ride!
