The girls of GROWTH Foundation are at it again cuddling cats and caring for dogs to help make the world a better place! Three of the GROWTH girls are official volunteers at the North Central Animal Shelter. We are happy to expand our services to the animals, as we are long time volunteers at Friends of Animals no kill shelter in West LA.
We attended orientation at North Central recently, and went back the next day to begin our duty as volunteers. We cleaned out four rooms of cages which house mostly cats and kittens, with a few small dogs here and there. We washed and filled food and water bowls, cleaned out litter boxes, and replaced newspaper, and of course, rubbed, scratched, cuddled and loved lots of precious creatures. After we attend a special training class we can begin walking and working with the big dogs. Can't wait!
We also delighted in letting a few of our new friends out of their cages to stretch a bit. They deeply enjoyed a few moments of freedom. It was a wonderful feeling to receive so much love in a couple short hours of time with these animals.
